How do I get into USYD Law?

Is it hard to get into UNSW Law?
Getting into a Bachelor of Laws at UNSW is no easy task. But if you’re interested in this degree then it’s safe to say you’re the type that’s always up for a challenge! In 2020, the lowest selection rank (ATAR + Adjustment Factors) was 96. To make matters even more difficult, a killer ATAR alone won’t quite cut it.
What is a competitive LAT score?
The University of NSW’s law school used a combination of HSC results and law admission test (LAT) score to select this year’s candidates. Successful entrants have a median LAT score of 74 out of 100 and a median ATAR of 98, which is lower than last year’s 99.7 ATAR cut off.
Do you have to take an exam to get into law school?
The LSAT is the only test accepted by all ABA-accredited law schools, and it is the only test that helps candidates determine if law school is right for them.
How long is the LAT exam?

Is Law at UNSW good?
In 2021, the QS World University Rankings placed UNSW Law School 13th on its list of the best law schools in the world. The law school is ranked second in Australia after the University of Melbourne by the ARWU 2017 subject rankings, and second in Australia by the 2020 Times Higher Education subject rankings.
Do you need maths for law?
Maths is another good A-Level to take if you want to study law. Whilst not typically associated with developing the writing skills needed for a law degree, maths can help with developing analytical skills and following a step-by-step logical process, which is welcomed when addressing statutes.

Are law exams open book?
Open-book exams generally are not much different from regular exams. In law exams, the bits that the open books are meant for are just statutory technicalities that just cannot be humanly memorised — so it makes no difference.
