Why does Jumba look different?
Unfortunately, the movie came out right after 9/11/2001. The animators felt this was much too close to the attacks that happened on September 11th, so they remodeled Jumba’s spaceship to look a bit different than a Boeing 747, and also changed the buildings to mountains.
